In|Between: The Tween Transition

Giving a Voice to a Generation of Transformation.

Empowering Youth at the Crossroads: Photography

Project Captures the Tween Experience.

In|Between is a photography project that captures youth ages 9-14 at the crossroads of childhood and adulthood,

navigating transformation, growth, and challenges. This project empowers young people to share their unique stories—hobbies,

talents, struggles, and triumphs—through a photography experience that will help solidify their identity and build

confidence. By putting their narrative in their own hands, In|Between reshapes how the world

sees this age group, offering authentic representation through a photo

exhibit and documentary film.

Giving a Voice to a Generation that is Often Misrepresented.

The In|Between project focuses on the critical age of 9-14, a phase often overlooked, misunderstood, or misrepresented in media.

We are giving these youth the opportunity to tell their own stories. This transformative experience will help shape

their identity, elevate their confidence, and build a foundation of self-love that will last a lifetime.

Fine Art Photography Exhibit

The first step of the In|Between project was the photo shoot. Each participant came to the studio, where they were photographed

for the still image exhibit. These portraits provide a glimpse into who they are right now—at this very moment in

their lives. The youth were actively involved in deciding what they wanted their image to convey and

how they wanted to be seen. They received hair, makeup, and styling to ensure their images were a true

representation of their identity. From the shoot, each participant selected the image that

would be displayed in the exhibit, giving them full control over how their story is told.

We are now seeking children between the ages of 9-14 to participate in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. If you or someone

you know would be a great fit for this transformative experience, we encourage you to apply!
